I Got Wued

6 Feb

Saturday night I stayed up way past my bed time to be among the crazy shoppers who were the first to get their mouse arrows hands on the Jason Wu for Target collection. It was crazy and there were definitely more than a few curse words screamed at my computers (yes, I had two computers going), but I ended up getting everything I wanted and then some. Not really knowing what would fit, I went a little crazy and got a lot of stuff, expecting that I would return what doesn’t work. Here is my haul:

Now I totally understand the thrill that people get from Black Friday shopping. I would still never do that though because I don’t do crazy people. I prefer to snatch up limited edition goods from the comfort of my couch. 🙂

All that’s left to do is keep my fingers crossed that all of it ships, since I know there were a lot of issues with people ordering things and then the orders were subsequently canceled when the Missoni for Target launch happened.

Speaking of Wuing wooing, I went to my 6 months post-op appointment today with my ortho doctor. I heart him! He is super good looking, but best of all, he is super nice and he always takes the time to talk with you instead of trying to rush you out the door like I feel most doctors do. He totally wooed me today when he walked into the exam room and said “you look different, did you get a hair cut or maybe you got some sun or something?” Swoon! 😀 I said, “well, yes, my hair is probably different since you saw me last and I may have lost a little weight since you saw me.” “Well you look good,” he said. Swoon again! After the appointment, I was thinking about what could have looked so different since he saw me last and then it hit me – yes, it’s true that my hair is different and yes, I’ve lost weight, but the biggest difference is that the last time he saw me, I was still sponge bathing it and washing my hair in the sink. 😯 Probably not my best look! Oh well, I was still happy to have the compliment from Dr. Good Looking.

Besides being good looking, he also gave me the OK to return to full activity. Hooray! At this point, my leg is not in pain, but I also don’t go a day without knowing that I had surgery on my leg. I asked him if that would ever go away and he said yes, usually right around the 6 month mark. Another hooray for that! I’m definitely looking forward to the day when I no longer have to think about this thing anymore.

So did anyone else snatch up some Jason Wu for Target? Have you ever staked out something you really wanted and waited for the minute it went on sale?

LOL…you ARE crazy! Isn’t Jason Wu famous because he designed Michelle Obama’s inaugural dress (or something like that)? I think you should fashion some pics of you IN the Wu-ness and post them for us Cabbys to see. 🙂

And that is why I love you, Dustina!! Yes, Jason Wu did Michelle Obama’s inauguration dress. Once my Wu arrives at my doorstep, I will be sure to style it up and post pictures.
